Renting with us is a breeze, just follow these 3 key steps to securing your perfect student home:

Get your group together and look at the website – We start marketing for the next uni year in October. This means the best time to get your group together and search is October / November time so that you have the most to choose from.

Book a viewing! Use the ‘Viewing Request’ button, give us a call or email us at derbystudents@nicholashumphreys.com. We will book you in to see a range of properties suit your group best so you have a good set of options and if you want to see more, we are more than happy to oblige!

What’s even in Derby?

For the uninitiated, Derby town centre can be a hard place to navigate. Here are our top places to visit for a good night out or chill day.

Nights out – Moo Moo, a 3 room club meaning 3 different music choices. The Bless, a modern pub turned club on a Saturday playing classics from the 80s through 00s. Popworld, does what it says on the tin – drinks, dancing and pop tunes. 3 Spoons, the main one called the Standing Order is ideal for pres on the cheap or food for the morning after.

Like sports? – The hideout or Bar Sport are both perfect for watching the next match from your chosen sport or look to Willows if getting stuck in and playing yourself is more your thing.

In the day – The Intu shopping centre and surrounding shops make for a good day out spending all your student loan. Escape rooms such as Escape Game Over or Unescapable make for a fun brain challenging activity – sober or not. Showcase or Odeon Cinemas in and Hollywood Bowl out of town and the bowling alley in the Intu.

Good Food – Bunk, chicken wings and cocktails with happy hour on every night from 10pm. Annies, possibly the best burger/s you will ever eat, 34 burgers and counting available meaty, veggie, vegan, gluten free and lactose free on request. Bustler Market, street food style market which opens it’s doors twice a month with different food every time and has free entry for students. And of course you can find all of your favourite chains in town.

Walks and outdoor recreation – Darley Park, beautifully maintained park by the river Derwent which leads through to the West Mill and Darley village. Markeaton Park, features frisbee golf, basketball and tennis courts, kid’s playgrounds and even a mini golf course. And of course, the Peak District is virtually on the doorstep making a perfect day out or camping weekend for an outdoorsy type.
