Nicholas Humphreys are looking for a financial controller who will take over from the company accountant over the coming months.

The right candidate will be an outgoing addition to the team and will work well in a busy environment. Our focus is on finding the right person who will make this role their own and provide great support to colleagues across the company.

Management accounts preparation will become the responsibility of this role; Initial bookkeeping is involved but not a major part of the work.

You must have at least two years experience of working in an accounts department and are confident in bringing accounts to trial balance level. Knowledge of Sage 50 is desirable but not essential.

You need to have a good level of understanding on Excel as this forms the basis of all of our analytical work outside of Sage. Pivot tables and formulae are something you need to be confident with.

You will be responsible for overseeing a team of five members of staff (four of whom are mainly involved in client accounting) and experience of supervision is desirable. You will also get involved in progressing various projects with this part of the business as we are always growing.

The salary offered will be dependent on the experience and knowledge you can bring to the company.
